In this World, the job of a Doctor is considered as one of the most prestigious, honored, dedicated, and hardworking. A Doctor should always be ready to treat his patients and save their lives at any time and that is why they are considered next to God. 
Every year lakhs of students apply for becoming Doctor but few of them get enrolled in medical colleges. One needs to sacrifice many things to become a Doctor. A five an half years of MBBS then PG and then working under some senior specialist and then after one will be able to become a fully trained Doctor.
India accounts for almost 1650 medical colleges, out of which 511 provide MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) education and almost 600 colleges provide PG (Post Graduate) medical courses.
NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Exam) is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) and it is the only exam for pursuing Under Graduate medical course such as- MBBS, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) or Veterinary Science.
 While, for PG pursuing NEET PG, AIIMS PG are organized.  And the after as per your ranking, you will be allotted colleges. Once you complete your MBBS then you will need to pursue MS for specialization in the Medicine field.

1. AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science), New Delhi

It is the number one medical college in India with a few seats (70). The competition for enrolling in this college is unmatchable. It offers various courses such as Bachelor of Optometry, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine. MD/MS(Master of Surgery), M.D.S and with this, there are many more courses provided by it. 

2. PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education and Research), Chandigarh

It is also one of the best medical colleges in India. It provides Research, Educational training to its students. It was established in the year 1962.

3. Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamil Nadu

It is an autonomous Institute that was established in 1900. In this Institute first kidney and bone marrow transplantation took place. It offers MBBS course and other courses. 

4.King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

It is one of the best medicinal college that is specially known for its infrastructure. It was established in the year 1911. This institution offers both UG (undergraduate courses) and PG (postgraduate courses) such as- MBBS, M.D, BDS, MDS.

5. (JIPMER) Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry 

This institution was established in the year 1823. It provides UG and PG courses in 37 different disciplines. 

6. BHU (Banaras Hindu University), Banaras, Uttar Pradesh
It was established in the year 1960. It also offers undergraduate and postgraduate level courses.  is certified by MCI (Medical Council of India), Govt of India.

7. Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences, New Delhi
It was established in the year 2009 and it is a mono-super specialist hospital for biliary and liver disorders. 

8. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh
It was established in 1962 and it is one of the most famous colleges of Uttar Pradesh. It provides different courses in UG, PG and diploma levels.

9. Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi
It was established in the year 2001 and provides the latest facilities and infrastructure. It provides about 25 different courses in UG, PG and speciality.

10. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum
It was established in 1963. It offers around 42 courses including MBBS and MD.

2. Kasturba Medical College Manipal, Karnataka

It is the first private medical college that was established in 1958. It provides MBBS and doctoral programs in the discipline of Medicine, Super Specialist Surgery, and Forensic Science.

3.Sri Ramachandra Deemed Medical University, Chennai
It was established in 1985. That provides MBBS, 50+ UG and PG programs in different courses as Physiotherapy, Biomedical Sciences, etc.
